Buy The Right Shower Head For Your Bathroom
Many of us start or end the day with a shower. It is definitely on of the most used bathroom areas. A good shower head can really make or break a shower not only in terms of look but also in terms of functionality. Changing a shower head is quite a simple affair and usually involves unscrewing the old one and screwing on the new one. There are a number of types of showerheads on the market today to choose from.
Water saving showerheads are becoming popular with the rise of environmental consciousness. Often with output below the normal 2.5 gallons per minute, these eco-friendly heads still can produce a nice flow and stream that gets the job done. Look for the types that aerate the water (add air/bubbles) to the flow. They produce the best water savings with the most functionality. Some inexpensive models just restrict flow and don’t work as well.
Massaging showerheads are a nice way to give the old bathroom a new feel. Introduced in the 1970’s these types of heads are invigorating and often come with multiple settings so you can choose from massage all the way to a misting like spray that almost tickles. It pays to go with a quality model for these babies as the cheap ones don’t seem to work well or last very long.
Rain showerheads are another very popular style these days. Not usually on the environmental end of things they produce a heavy rain like spray that drenches you from head to toe. They need good water pressure to operate properly and hence the water savings go down the drain too.
Which ever shower head you decide to go with look for around first for what looks good in your bathroom and try to find a retailer that has working demonstrations of the showerheads so you can at least have a hand feel of what they are like. It really is a matter of preference as to the type you go with each having its unique characteristics.
