Some Choices For Kitchen Sinks |
The Choices For Kitchen Sinks Are Many
Stainless steel kitchens sinks are still the choice of many. They are proven and have stood the test of time. There are a number of other choices though. Concrete sinks, Bronze sinks, enamel sinks, just to name a few. Once again they all have pros and cons including stainless steel. One nice thing about all the new materials is they also brought in new shapes, designs and colors.
Stainless steel makes a great material for a kitchens sink because, well for one… it’s stainless. Although you may seem to stain your stainless sink once in a while, with a little elbow grease and a proper cleaner it usually comes out looking like brand new. The other nice thing about stainless is it’s heat resistant qualities. Not a problem to set a frying pan straight off the stove top and into the sink. That all said, you may just be looking for something to shake things up a bit.
Bronze kitchen sinks are gaining popularity. They are durable, stain resistant and have a look all their own. They are however expensive! Acrylic sinks are becoming the new thing too. The weird thing about these sinks is they are quiet. Not so much clanking around. That is because they are soft, which is a con since they can dent or damage more easily. Concrete makes a very cool sink. It can be molded in just about any shape and can be integrated right into a concrete counter. The downside is they weigh a ton and don’t do so well when it comes to stains. Enamel coated iron makes a good pot and a good sink. It has been around for a long time too. Available in lots of colors it fits well into almost any décor. Watch out for chipping though.
Whether it’s concrete or bronze or stainless or enamel or some other funky new material the choice are more than many. The days of white or stainless steel are gone and are being replaced by just about anything your imagination can come up with.
